Educate, Restore Function, and STOP THE PROGRESSION Today!
STOP THE PROGRESSION Mission
Empowering Individuals with Scoliosis, Postural Deficits, and Back Pain Through Education, Awareness, and Biofunctional Pattern Integration
Consider the Whole Body, Not Just The Spine
The first goal of Stop the Progression is simple: to educate and equip individuals with practical tips and strategies to better understand and manage their scoliosis, posture, and pain. While this education can make a meaningful difference in daily posture and body awareness, it is not a substitute for medical treatment.
Scoliosis is a complex condition, and the spine itself should be evaluated and treated by a scoliosis-trained healthcare professional (Shroth Physical Therapists are the BEST!) who can provide individualized care. While curves can be categorized into specific curve types, your curve is truly unique to you based on (but not limited to) the apex, Cobb angle, amount of axial rotation and torsion, type of scoliosis, and other health, structural and environmental factors.
Where STOP THE PROGRESSION fits in is after or alongside that treatment. At its core is Biofunctional Pattern Integration (BPI)—a unique, multisystem approach designed to restore balance, improve proprioception, and retrain functional movement patterns that are often diminished in individuals with scoliosis and postural asymmetry.
Originally developed to help athletes such as cheerleaders, gymnasts, and dancers—who have a higher incidence of postural imbalance—BPI has proven just as effective for non-athletes looking to move with greater ease, stability, and confidence in everyday life.
STOP THE PROGRESSION is here to help individuals better understand their bodies, build postural awareness, and support their treatment journey—so they can take an active role in their long-term health.

The Biofunctional Scoliosis Education
Course
This course is designed for individuals who want to move better, gain insightful education about their scoliosis—its impact on posture, movement, and daily life, .
While this program provides education, awareness, and practical strategies to help you support your body, it is not a treatment course. Scoliosis is a multifactorial, three-dimensional condition that requires in-person, specialized care from a scoliosis-trained healthcare professional for optimal results.
Through this course, you’ll learn foundational concepts and tools to build postural awareness, improve proprioception and balance, and better understand your own body’s unique needs. The goal is to empower you with knowledge, so you can work in partnership with your healthcare team and take an active role in your scoliosis journey. Course includes:
Biofunctional Pattern Integration Course (coming soon)
The flagship program behind STOP THE PROGRESSION is designed to target balance, proprioception, and restore functional movement—it’s truly a whole-body reset.
The first two tiers are for everyone. They focus on rebuilding functional movement patterns, calming the nervous system, and creating powerful neuro-adaptations that lead to lasting change. By engaging both vision and motor patterns, this system helps you unlock better stabilization, balance, and body awareness—think of it as hitting the “reset button” for your entire movement system.
But what truly makes this course next-level is the exclusive 3rd and 4th Tier of BPI—crafted for active individuals ready to excel in higher-level sports, hobbies, and activities.
From resisted movement patterning to targeted running and jumping strategies, BPI empowers athletes and fitness enthusiasts to launch powerfully, land safely, and move with confidence. By minimizing ground reaction forces, our goal is to not only boost performance but also build resilience and reduce injury risk.
No other program blends foundational neuromuscular retraining with advanced athletic progression—guided by the expertise of a Schroth-trained postural specialist—quite like this one. Course includes:
The Biofunctional Posture Course (Coming Soon!)
Posture isn’t just about how you look—it’s about how your body moves, functions, and feels every single day. This course is specifically designed for individuals who do not have scoliosis, but who may experience hyperkyphosis (hump back), postural fatigue, or simply want to improve posture and movement. Whether your goal is prevention, addressing postural asymmetries, or gaining a deeper understanding of your spine, this program is your roadmap to lasting change.
Unlike generic posture programs, this course takes you far beyond “sit up straight” or “shoulders back.” Here, you’ll learn how your unique spine type shapes the way you move—and how to work with your body, not against it. Through evidence-informed strategies and targeted movement training, you’ll begin to restore natural alignment, improve balance, and unlock strength and confidence from the ground up.
This is a program for anyone ready to take ownership of their posture and movement—from those battling hyperkyphosis or postural fatigue, to anyone who simply wants to stand taller, move better, and feel stronger.
Developed by a Schroth-trained physical therapist with a rare and advanced understanding of posture, this course blends science, clinical expertise, and practical movement progressions that meet you where you are and grow with you.
Your posture tells your story. Let’s make it a strong one. Course includes:
The Biofunctional Back Pain Course (Coming Soon!)
Living with back pain can be overwhelming. It often touches every part of daily life—how you move, breathe, sleep, and function. Many people spend years searching for answers, trying one thing after another, without fully understanding the “why” behind their pain. This course was created to help you start exploring that “why” with clarity, support, and guidance.
This is not a quick fix or a treatment program. It’s an educational course designed to help you become a detective in your own life—to look closely at everyday habits, movement patterns, and environmental factors that may be contributing to your pain. By identifying these patterns, many people find ways to reduce their pain levels, and in some cases, even eliminate their pain when the driving factors are addressed.
You’ll learn how breath, the diaphragm, and rib mechanics play a powerful role in how your body responds to pain. You’ll also explore movement, posture, and other key concepts from the Posture Course to help restore mobility, improve balance, and support your spine in a smarter, more sustainable way.
Developed by a Schroth-trained physical therapist with advanced training in posture, breathing mechanics, and functional movement, this course provides a structured and thoughtful framework to help you understand your pain better and take active steps toward relief.
While we can’t guarantee pain will disappear completely, we can give you the tools, education, and strategies to create real, meaningful change in how you experience and manage it.
